Olympics Closing Ceremony 2012

The London 2012 Olympics came to an end last night with the magnificent closing ceremony taking place in the Olympic stadium in Stratford. I for one loved the closing ceremony, after all it did take me down memory lane with performances by the Spice Girls, Take That, Fatboy Slim, George Michael and Annie Lennox. Naturally I have to dedicate a post to the ceremony that also featured a fashion segment with models such as Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn strutting their stuff on stage.

The Spice Girls.

Everyone remembers singing along to their favourite Spice Girls song so when these fab ladies arrived on stage on top of Black cabs you couldn't help but get excited!

Mel B looked fab in a Zuhair Murad.

Victoria Beckham looked stunning in Giles Deacon.

Reminiscent of Mel C's outfit choice back in the day but with a modern twist! She was one of my fav performers out of the group!

A modern take on Gerry's famous Union Jack dress!

Emma Bunton looked cute in a pink mini dress.

Fat Boy Slim
Always been a fan of this legend of a DJ, more so now that he performed some of his best hits in a giant octopus! Yep I want that Octopus!

The Fashion
You cannot have a celebration of British talent without showing fashion, after all London is one of the fashion capitals of the world and has produced some of the best design talent. I for one was super excited when several customised buses arrived with each supermodels picture on it. It got better though because the Supermodels came out of those buses!

Naomi Campbell in Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

Kate Moss also wore a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

 Lily Cole in Erdem.

Lily Donaldson in Vivienne Westwood.

Georgia May Jagger in Victoria Beckham.

David Gandy in Paul Smith and Jourdan Dunn in Jonathan Saunders.

Which was your favourite look?

The Muse

The Muse did a powerful performance which I for one loved. There was however something else that caught my eye - yes Matt Bellamy 's fab suit!! He stole the show with a fab sequinned suit - I want this!!!

Other memorable moments

Annie Lennox brought a pirate esq look to the stage, my only disappointment was that she did not perform Sweet Dreams.

Take That performing, Gary Barlow did an amazing job.

Normally not a fan of Russell Brand but I did love the fun styling off his segment.

Who can forget George Michael's bizarre dancing and of course his plug for his new song!

So Stylista's what did you all think of the Closing Ceremony? Leave your comments below!
